The Vicente family, founders of the ‘Gourmet Catering & Espacios’ company that currently handles catering at Mestalla, have loaned the club a mural painted by artist Joaquín Michavila. The work recreates a game between Valencia CF and Levante UD from the 1950s.
Narciso Vicente, president of the company, spoke to VCF Media on Tuesday.
Gourmet’s relationship with Valencia CF
“Valencia CF are one of the largest institutions in the city, and collaborating with them fills us with pride and satisfaction. Managing the catering in the Hospitality areas of Mestalla is a big challenge for our company. It provides us with additional prestige and value.”
Adapting to the new normality
“We are a flexible and dynamic company. In recent years we have had to adapt to different market situations, as well as the demands and necessities of our clients. The current situation is another important challenge to which we are adapting. The needs that derive from the new normality mean that we have to completely rethink how we undertake our events.”
Measures taken for customer safety
“We’ve devised an internal protocol that brings together measures aimed at safeguarding our clients and employees. We have a training process for our employees to guarantee the safety of our products and elaboration process. We are also carrying out COVID-19 tests so that there is no sign of contagion in the workplace.”
Catering for the squad and coaching staff
“We’ve had to change the serving format that we used before, with a buffet that saw them share dining spaces. Now we have personalised services for each of them, with food selected ahead of time accorting to preference and the diet required by the nutrition department.”
“We have an ability to adapt to change and the highest level of demand. We have a structure of young, dynamic personnel with a proven capacity for adapting to any contingency plan. Our objective is to provide the utmost satisfaction for our clients.”
